Other bioreactor studies

The ”MiNing” research project was a precursor to the NITREM project, wherein a pilot-scale bioreactor was constructed, also at LKAB's Kiruna site. This project resulted in the following publications:

Prior to the MiNing project, a sawdust-filled surface-based bioreactor was tested at LKAB's Malmberget site. This publication resulted from this project:

Herbert, R., Winbjörk, H., Hellman, M., Hallin, S. (2014) Nitrogen removal and spatial distribution of denitrifier and anammox communities in a bioreactor for mine drainage treatment. Water Research 66, 350-360.
